My dad loved picking out a fresh Christmas tree each year. His personal favorite was Fraser Fir or a Cedar (like his Aunt Golda used to have). So, when he painted "Christmas Dreams", I had to ask him what the story was behind it.
He told me that he often had dreams of owning his own Christmas tree farm, somewhere in the mountains. The man in the acrylic painting was how he pictured himself, having a late night stroll through his field, enjoying the light of the moon, and smelling the unmistakable scent of the trees.
Now that he has passed on to the Other Side, I often think he's having that night stroll as much as he wants.
